Store Terms
GlobalLast updated: 2026-09-27
These Terms apply to anyone who opens and operates a store on iFOODLocal and supplement the Terms of Use for Food Orders. By requesting approval of the store, the responsible person accepts these Terms on its behalf.
Template document, aligned with the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Online Safety Act 2023. Have it reviewed by UK legal counsel before official publication.
1. What you accept when opening a store
You sell your products directly to customers; iFOODLocal is the tool for the shop window, orders and conversation. There is no employment relationship, partnership or exclusivity: you may sell through other channels. You are the supplier towards the customer, within the meaning of the consumer protection law of the country where the store operates (in Brazil, the Consumer Defence Code β CΓ³digo de Defesa do Consumidor).
2. Approval and responsible person
- Provide an active and genuine business registration in the country where the store operates (in Brazil, the CNPJ), and keep it up to date
- Accepted business registration, by region: Brazil β CNPJ (Receita Federal); Portugal β NIPC (company) or NIF (sole trader); Angola β NIF; Mozambique β NUIT; Cape Verde β NIF; United Kingdom β Companies House company number, or HMRC Unique Taxpayer Reference for sole traders; Ireland β CRO number; European Union β the national company register number or VAT number; United States β EIN (IRS) plus the state business registration; Canada β Business Number (CRA); Mexico β RFC (SAT); Argentina β CUIT (AFIP/ARCA); Colombia β NIT (DIAN); Chile β RUT (SII); Peru β RUC (SUNAT); Spain β NIF (CIF) of the company; Australia β ABN; New Zealand β NZBN; India β GSTIN or company CIN; South Africa β CIPC registration number; other countries β the business registration issued under national law
- Appoint a responsible person (partner, owner or manager) with the verified face badge on their own account
- Verify the WhatsApp number that receives orders
- The store is only published after approval by a member of the team; approval may be reviewed if the details change or prove to be false
3. Menu, prices and allergens
You are responsible for everything you publish: names, descriptions, prices, availability, opening hours, delivery area and fee, and allergens. Check the assistant's suggestions, the document reading and the suggested prices before publishing β they are drafts. Remove from the menu whatever has run out. Do not publish any item whose sale is prohibited, and alcoholic drinks may only be delivered to persons aged 18 or over.
4. Photos
The photos you send remain yours; you authorise the platform to display them in your store and to moderate them, and you warrant that you have the right to use them. Photos generated by the platform are kept in its photo library, may illustrate the same dish in other stores and are not deleted when you change or remove the item. Your own photo always takes priority.
5. Store obligations
- Maintain the permits, health licence and other authorisations that the law of the place where the store operates requires to produce and sell food; these licences are the store's responsibility
- Follow food hygiene and food handling regulations
- Issue tax invoices where required and fulfil the tax obligations of your business
- Comply with the applicable consumer protection law (in Brazil, the Consumer Defence Code) in customer service, exchanges and complaints
6. Orders
Accept or decline each order as soon as possible; if a new order is not opened within a few minutes, we notify you by WhatsApp. Fulfil accepted orders and inform the customer through the conversation of any delay, missing item or cancellation. Frequent refusals and cancellations may lead to the store being limited.
7. Payments
You receive payment from the customer on delivery, on pickup or at the till, using the methods you have registered, and you set your own delivery fee. No amount of the order passes through iFOODLocal. Paid platform features for stores, if any, will have their price and conditions presented before purchase.
8. Partner couriers
You may call partner couriers: independent drivers, with a verified face and an approved driving licence valid in their country (in Brazil, the CNH), who accept or decline each delivery. The delivery amount is agreed and paid by you directly to the courier; iFOODLocal only organises the offer and the progress. Towards the customer, the delivery remains yours.
9. Customer data
Customers' names, addresses and telephone numbers serve only to prepare and deliver that order. Do not use them for marketing without consent, do not share them and do not keep them outside the platform beyond what tax law requires.
10. Suspension
Breach of these Terms may lead to items being hidden, the store being unpublished and the account being suspended or terminated, across all brands of the group, in accordance with the Terms of Use.
11. Acceptance and new versions
Requesting approval of the store is equivalent to accepting these Terms in the version published on this page, with the date shown at the top. When the text changes, we will notify the store in advance; continuing to receive orders after the effective date means accepting the new version.
